IT has been a varied career for Paul Wilson which has taken in charity work in Hong Kong and 13 years as chief marketing officer of a Fortune 500 company.
But the newly appointed chief executive of the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership believes his current role is the most demanding and exciting of his career.
Mr Wilson and the Local Enterprise Partnership are sitting on a pot of £25 million which he is hoping to hand over to businesses in the West of England as part of the Going for Growth Campaign which is being run in partnership with the Bristol Post.

Mr Wilson and the Local Enterprise Partnership are sitting on a pot of £25 million which he is hoping to hand over to businesses in the West of England as part of the Going for Growth Campaign which is being run in partnership with the Bristol Post.
The ultimate aim is to kick-start the economy back into life by offering funding to firms which are planning to expand or launch training schemes.
Firms will have to prove they are creating or safeguarding jobs but grants of up to £1 million will be available and the plan is to distribute the money as quickly as possible...

How to Enter
The Going for Growth campaign gives firms a unique chance to apply for grants worth up to £1 million.
The West of England Local Enterprise Partnership is looking to hand out £25 million worth of funding to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The money is being made available to firms in five distinct areas:
