Huge amount of interest in Bristol Post Going for Growth campaign - Online video to help firms apply for slice of £25m
FIRMS looking to apply for their own slice of a £25 million fund can now get some much-needed help from our specially-created, online, interactive tutorial.
The Bristol Post and West of England Local Enterprise Partnership have joined forces to launch a major campaign – Going for Growth – aimed at kick-starting the regional economy back into life.
As part of the campaign firms can apply for grants of anywhere between £10,000 and £1 million on condition that the money will be used to create new jobs or safeguard existing ones.
The process is designed to be as straightforward as possible – and grants could be awarded within three months.
A special website has been set up to guide firms through the process.
Events and workshops are being organised by groups including the chamber of commerce.

Paul Wilson, chief executive of the LEP, said: "The aim of this campaign is to help businesses and organisations with their growth plans.
"We want to get the economy moving again and the only way we can do that is by helping businesses do what they do best.
"It is the private sector that will lead the way out of recession and schemes like this are designed to get business working again....

The West of England Local Enterprise Partnership is looking to hand out £25 million worth of funding to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The money is being made available to firms in five distinct areas:
- For firms involved in research and development
- When capital investment is made by small and medium-sized enterprises
- Organisations planning to invest in training schemes
- Organisations involved in the recruitment of disabled and disadvantaged people
- Support for small firms created or launched be female entrepreneurs
