Now you can apply for share of £25m grants online
BUSINESSES looking to land a slice of a £25 million fund aimed at kick-starting the Bristol region's economy can now apply for funding online.

The Bristol Post has joined forces the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership to launch one of the most exciting campaigns in the paper's history.

With the economy still struggling to recover from the worst downturn in generations the LEP has launched its Going for Growth campaign which is looking to create or safeguard 1,300 new jobs in the Bristol and Bath region.

The financial crisis has made it harder than ever for businesses to access traditional forms of funding from banks and lenders.

The aim of the Going for Growth campaign is to help firms expand and grow with the help of funding.
Companies can apply for loans ranging from £10,000 to £1 million providing they meet criteria - most importantly, they need to prove they will create or safeguard jobs.

The fund, which is being backed by the Regional Growth Fund, is open until the end of July and the plan is to make the process as simple as possible. Firms are expected to find out within two to three months wether their application has been a success.

The hope is to sign up around 400 businesses and in less than two weeks more than 80 firms and organisations have already expressed an interest in applying for funding...
