Mike Norton, the editor of the Bristol Post, said Growing for Growth could prove to be the spark which brings the economy back to life in the Bristol area.
He said: “We have been through some difficult times but I honestly believe that our great city is on the cusp of something really exciting. We already have the strongest economy outside of London in terms of wealth, property prices and employment levels. But we should be doing everything we can to help the economy repair itself. This is a unique opportunity. Bristol has a chance to establish itself as an economic powerhouse not just in the UK but also in Europe. The Going For Growth campaign has given us a chance to help make a big difference and I am proud to play a part in the initiative.”
