Label ink firm's boss applying for £27,000 boost - "Grant would help us to realise expansion"
MANAGING director and founder Gary Seward has ambitious plans for the firm that he has built from scratch.
The 40-year-old runs Pulse Roll Label Products and has presided over an impressive surge in business in the face of one of the worst recessions in living memory.
The company manufactures the ink used in adhesive labels for products ranging from wine bottles to washing up liquid and employs just over 30 people at the Yate-based business.
And thanks to growth of 25 per cent a year the company has recently moved into a brand new headquarters which is more than four times the size of its former base.
Mr Seward, who launched the business 12 years ago, is in the process of applying for funding under the Growing for Growth campaign.

The West of England Local Enterprise Partnership has joined forces with the Bristol Post to launch the campaign which will see £25 million worth of grants handed out to businesses in the Bristol and Bath area.
Firms involved have to prove that they will create or safeguard jobs and are looking to increase the size of the company.
Mr Seward said: "Obviously the recession affected everything but we have been protected because people will always buy food.
"There is still a demand for what we do and every year we have seen growth of about 25 per cent."...

How to Enter
The Going for Growth campaign gives firms a unique chance to apply for grants worth up to £1 million.
The West of England Local Enterprise Partnership is looking to hand out £25 million worth of funding to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The money is being made available to firms in five distinct areas:
