Colin Skellett, who is chairman of the Local Enterprise Partnership and chief executive of Wessex Water, has given his support to the campaign.
He said: “The Going for Growth campaign is an exciting example of how the public and the private sectors can work together to make a real difference to the local economy. There are plenty of businesses out there who are eager to expand but are struggling because the traditional routes to funding are still not functioning as they should.
Hopefully, the campaign will help us to get on with the job of supporting the economy and businesses operating in the Bristol and Bath area. There is a real appetite out there to get back to doing business and this is a great way to get the wheels of commerce rolling once again.”
